About Ladies Carp Academy

The Ladies’ Carp Academy was our brainchild. Together we agreed that although the carp industry had a number of coaching events and competitions happening across the country, there was nothing solely for female anglers.

We decided it would be great for female anglers of all abilities and experiences to have an event where they could meet and learn from one another in a social, fun and relaxed environment.

After speaking to Mike Fletcher at Pool Bridge Farm Fishery, it was decided we would run the event on the venue’s Q Lake and open it up to 12 female anglers who would be instructed by a number of the England Ladies Carp Team, including myself (Bev).

With the venue and idea hatched, we began work, and as you look through the site, you will find out all the information you need to get involved.

The 2017 event was the first one we held and was a great success. Check out the gallery page to see how it unfolded. We are now working on the 2019 and can’t wait to see the Ladies Carp Academy grow!

Wishing you all the very best in all your angling, Bev Clifford

Ladies Carp Academy

2021, an exciting year for the Ladies Carp Academy!

We had great plans for 2020 but like many things the pandemic put a stop to most of it! We did manage to squeeze in the usual Academy weekend at Poolbridge and a great social at East Delph Lakes before we got lockdown again at the end of the year. Now restrictions have lifted and we’rewell into 2021 we are trying to get in as much as we can. We’ve got the full Academy weekend at Poolbridge, we’ve already had a Casting & Rig day a Girton and have got three socials scheduled in at Berners Hall, The Boat House Fishery and East Delph. Bookings for the Academy weekend are via this website and everything else will be announced on our social media pages, so please keep eyes peeled on them of how to book the social events.! We look forward to you joining us and if you have any questions just drop us a line via our social media pages or email bev.clifford1@gmail.com
